Official opening for new Tesco Express cafe in Burnley

Burnley MP Oliver Ryan was on hand to officially open the new cafe in Burnley's Tesco Express.

00:00So we opened last week and part of the property work which has kind of given us a bit of a new

00:05look and feel and some new equipment some new propositions but yeah the cafe's doing really

00:10well and certainly added been put on the map in Burnley and certainly helping trading Tesco so

00:15so far so good. I had to recruit some more staff it's really busy and yeah in a really good place

00:20and as you see a great facility for customers. It's bringing people into the store which is

00:25great from a Tesco perspective and I think even when the Tesco though it has a Costa I think the

00:32cafe is more of an appeal to the majority and the Costa obviously appeals to a certain

00:38demographic but probably not to everybody. I think Burnley's certainly missed a cafe. The

00:42quality of food is very good and cafe sometimes gives you a different impression but in fairness

00:47it is really of a high standard and customers are yeah I love it.
