00:00Science is definitely of great importance but is the scientist above

00:06things like comparison, like jealousy, like greed, like ambition? If the scientist

00:12too is ambitious and partisan and a deluded fellow then merely the knowledge

00:22of science is not going to help. In fact that's the reason why I often say that

00:26if superstition is going to be obliterated, it's not science but

00:32spirituality that would do it. Superstitions will be taken care of not

00:36so much by science but by spirituality. In the absence of spirituality, science

00:42itself becomes a new modern kind of superstition because you see science is

00:47all about the external world. This is how this moves, is how that works. What is my

00:52relationship with what works and what moves? That science has nothing to do

00:56with and that's a big problem. You may know everything about what this wall is

01:01about and all the elementary particles inside it and you may know the quarks

01:05and string theory and everything but do you know what your relationship with all

01:09this is? Do you know who the experiencer of all this is? Do you know who is the

01:14one who is experiencing and storing this knowledge and therefore do you know who

01:18is the one who is going to use this knowledge? If you do not have self

01:21knowledge, then external knowledge may not be of much help. It becomes a throw

01:26of dice. You do not know what will happen.
