00:00It was very important for us to meet the Lega del Filo d'Oro when Francesco was three years old,
00:11at a time when we were really desperate, and it was like meeting a safe harbor while we were a boat in the storm.
00:23Unfortunately, Francesco was born with a rare genetic syndrome,
00:27Norri's syndrome, which makes him completely blind and has developed a rather serious form of autism,
00:33which does not allow him to communicate, and therefore it was immediately difficult to have a communication relationship with him.
00:42And so the meeting with the Lega del Filo d'Oro was important because it taught us parents,
00:50first of all, to be able to have a channel of communication with him.
00:54They introduced a communication called objective communication,
00:58and he, with these objects, manages to give us the opportunity to understand what he wants at that moment.
01:08For Francesco, not being able to communicate was very difficult,
01:13because his emotions and desires could not be satisfied.
01:23But in this way, with this communication, he was a light in the dark.
01:28For Francesco, and also for us, it was very important to meet the Lega del Filo d'Oro,
01:33precisely because it put us in communication, and it put Francesco in communication with the world.
