00:00The effects of the Typhoon Pepito in Oriental Mindoro are beginning to be felt.

00:05This is the report of Vincent Roque of IBC 13.

00:12The effects of the Super Typhoon Pepito in the ocean of Oriental Mindoro,

00:18particularly in Calapan, are beginning to be felt.

00:21The waves are getting stronger due to the strong winds that are felt in the area.

00:28It is estimated that the waves could reach 1.0 to 2.0 meters

00:34and that Oriental Mindoro is still on the yellow warning signal.

00:38Yesterday, the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Division of Calapan

00:44was alerted to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the typhoon.

00:48The two evacuation centers in Barangay Ginubatan and Bulusan were also prepared.

00:53The local government continues to call on residents living in coastal areas to evacuate

01:00for their own safety.

01:02The authorities are strictly monitoring the situation

01:05while the residents of Barang Matiyak are not allowed to be left behind

01:09when it is time for the forced evacuation to be carried out.
