00:00The Department of Agriculture, or DA, has lifted a two-year import ban on birds and
00:05poultry products from Denmark.
00:07This came after the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration confirmed to the World
00:12Organization for Animal Health that all cases of HPAI in Denmark had been resolved, with
00:18no further outbreaks reported since September 12.
00:21The DA emphasized the lifting of the ban takes effect immediately, but all imports must still
00:26comply with the agency's regulations and guidelines.
00:29Meanwhile, temporary import ban on domestic and wild birds, along with poultry products
00:35from Austria and Japan, are implemented due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
00:41Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tula-Rell Jr. signed a memorandum order suspending
00:47import clearances for these products after outbreaks were reported in the two countries.
