Ram and Paul and their dad.
00:02
We're running 50 miles in the month of November
00:05
to raise money for Maddy's Giving Tree.
00:07
It's the third year in a row where we've done something like this,
00:09
so it's something that we really enjoy doing as a family.
00:11
And we're 11 days into it now.
00:13
And I wanted really the boys to understand
00:15
how much they can help people out.
00:17
Why are we running? What do we want to do?
00:20
To give Christmas.
00:21
That's right. So we just want everyone to just have the best Christmas.
00:23
We've run three miles to help us raise £500.
00:28
Thank you everyone for sponsoring us.
00:30
What are we running for? Who are we raising money for?
00:33
For the kids to have a good Christmas.
00:34
Well done.
00:35
Thanks, Mum. Let's go!
00:36
Yes, thank you.
00:38
And we know that we can help people in the local area by doing it as well,
00:42
so that's the key thing for us.
00:44
The things we've done in the past have been for national charities,
00:47
so we really wanted to be able to impact on that whole community as well.
00:51
So there's a Giving Tree set up in the St Giles Centre in Elgin.
00:55
And on that is a list of presents that go to people who are in need.
01:00
So that's a list of maybe some gifts.
01:03
Also, they provide food parcels as well in the month of December as well,
01:07
and it just means that everyone gets something for Christmas.
01:09
So last year we were the Secret Santas,
01:11
and then this year we were thinking around about what could it be.
01:15
So we've been singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
01:17
we've been running around as well to try and get bits of that together.
01:21
It's not going well so far, has it?
01:24
We're not very good singers, to be honest with you.
01:26
Runners, yes, not singers.
01:27
I'm just proud, so proud of them.
01:29
There's never, for wee boys to take this on
01:34
and to just actually meet every single night with no moans and groans
01:37
and actually look forward to it, I'm so proud of them.
01:41
How much have you raised?
01:42
Eight.
01:43
Eight hundred pounds?
01:44
Eight hundred pounds.
01:45
Like seven.
01:47
Let's go!
