00:00The Bureau of Treasury has now implemented the Streamlined Tax Treaty Procedure for non-resident investors of the country.

00:08According to the BTR, the Foreign Investors' request for the country's tax treaty scheme is far from being easier.

00:14Because of this, they no longer need to submit more tax documents to the investors

00:19in order to obtain tax treaty benefits, particularly for government securities income items.

00:25Investors also no longer need to repeat the application process for the new G.S. Income Event.

00:31This became possible due to the latest integration of the Streamlined Processed Tax Tracking System

00:38by the National Registry of Scriptless Securities,

00:41where they just need to complete the one-time process system of the agency

00:46in order to create a securities account that can automatically apply to all of their G.S. accounts.

00:53Meanwhile, according to Finance Secretary Ralph Recto,

00:55this is just one of the projects that will further strengthen the capital market of the Philippines.

01:01This will further strengthen the market liquidity of the country

01:05due to the easier process for investors.
