00:04The NFC playoff picture.

00:06I have a lot of bets on the Lions that have been stacking up over the past couple weeks

00:09to win the NFC.

00:10Anywhere between plus 375, now down to plus 275.

00:14Some outlets here even showing even less, just like the SportsGrid network here as we

00:18look at FanDuel at plus 195.

00:20But let's start here.

00:22The Lions 8-1 to you, Tom.

00:23The best team in the NFC right now, is it true?

00:26Yes or no?

00:27I don't think they're the best team in the NFC.

00:29I think they're the best team in the NFL.

00:31I've said it on a post-game show, on pre-game shows.

00:34I think they are the class of the NFL this season.

00:38And we've seen this from teams before, where they kind of go through the steps, where they

00:41get to the playoffs, they lose.

00:42Maybe the next year they go a little bit further, they lose again.

00:45This is the season for them to finally put it all together.

00:48So I think the Lions are the class of the NFL.

00:51I have them actually in a direct matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs at plus 700 in the

00:56Super Bowl.

00:57Not to beat one another, it's just a direct matchup.

00:59So I certainly like them, you know, taking them to win the division, win the NFC, anything

01:04it might be.

01:05I think it's all on the right page when it comes to the Lions.

01:07I think there are some frauds when it comes to the NFC.

01:10Like I don't want to get like too hot takey here, but I don't think the Cardinals are

01:13a good team.

01:14How about that?

01:15Okay, continue with that, because my next question was, are you of belief in the Cardinals,

01:21right?

01:22Like what is their, you know, prognosis for you the rest of the way?

01:25Can they surprise or why are they going to fall apart if you feel they will?

01:29I would have more faith in the Rams winning the division or the Rams making the playoffs.

01:33When we look back at the Cardinals schedule, like tell me this, like they beat the Rams

01:37in week two when Puka wasn't healthy and Cooper Cup got hurt that game.

01:41They beat San Francisco in a comeback win when San Francisco wasn't healthy.

01:44They lose to Green Bay, right?

01:46They beat the Chargers in a super low scoring game.

01:49They beat Miami.

01:50I think we'd all agree Miami is not the best team.

01:52They beat Chicago and then they beat the New York Jets.

01:55We're looking at a schedule where they're beating okay to bad teams.

01:59They don't have any impressive wins, right?

02:01That's what it comes down to.

02:02So I think their next stretch of games at Seattle, Minnesota, Seattle will be the determining

02:07factor for the Cardinals season because then they end the season versus the Rams and the

02:1149ers.

02:12And if those teams can stay healthy, those are the tough games, like congrats on beating

02:16Chicago and the Jets.

02:18No one thinks highly of those teams.

02:20Why are we boosting them up when they're losing to Buffalo?

02:22They're losing to Detroit.

02:24They're losing to the Commanders.

02:25They're losing to Green Bay.

02:26Teams that we expect to make the playoffs, not just make the playoffs, but go deep into

02:29the playoffs.

02:30They're losing to the best teams in the league and they're beating the worst teams.

02:34If the season ended, let's just say the season ends today, right?

02:38Which we know it doesn't.

02:39Lions, Eagles, Falcons, and Cardinals would be those divisional teams.

02:42We got a great race in the wild card here.

02:44Like if it's the Vikings, the Commanders, the Packers, and still leaving out the San

02:48Francisco 49ers who sit at five and four.

02:51Talk to me about some wild card teams, because there are some teams that just might win their

02:55division, but let's say they don't.

02:57Which one of these teams are you worried about?

02:58And also, could the Niners actually be left out of the playoffs as if it were to end today?

03:04I mean, I have faith in the 49ers just because of the pedigree.

03:07If they do stay fully healthy, I think they will get there.

03:09I think the outside of the Cardinals, I think the team would be the Falcons.

03:12Like everyone has questions about the Falcons.

03:14Are they legit?

03:15We saw them start slow.

03:16They come back to life.

03:17They lose last week in a game versus the Saints.

03:19Obviously, the Saints had a lot, you know, momentum.

03:21I'm going to say coming into that game with a new coach, et cetera, et cetera.

03:23You know, I think the position to take would be the Commanders, and it comes down to tomorrow

03:27night's game.

03:28I know, obviously, you're an Eagles fan, but if we're looking at the odds for the Commanders

03:32at plus 1,200 to win the conference, that number is going to drop tomorrow if they do

03:37come away with the win.

03:38The number to win the division is going to drop.

03:40Daniel's MVP, it's not to say that he's going to win MVP, I think it's going to be Lamar

03:44this year, but a rookie quarterback coming with a, I want to say, a big win to propel

03:48them to a division title.

03:50I think those numbers will change.

03:51So again, I'm not saying I want to ride the ticket with Commanders the entire season,

03:55but jumping in at plus 1,200 for them to win the conference, and then maybe cashing out,

03:59hedging, gives you a lot of options.

04:01So I like the Commanders from a betting perspective, mostly.

04:04NFC North has been an unbelievable division.

04:07We expected that coming into the season.

04:09It's really lived up to the hype.

04:10Now, say what you want about the Bears, where they're going to finish.

04:13That's not my focus here.

04:14You see the leaders, the Lions, who I, again, think are the best team in the NFC.

04:17The Vikings are a very good team in the standings ahead of the Green Bay Packers.

04:22What are you thinking about for the Packers the rest of the way?

04:24Is there a chance that you can catch lightning at a bottle, get a good price, or are they

04:28really just the second or third best team in their own division?

04:33I think they're the second best team.

04:34I would put them slightly ahead of the Vikings, and ultimately, I wouldn't be surprised to

04:40see the Vikings fall off.

04:42I know they started off super hot, but we've seen some cracks in the armor over the past

04:46few weeks.

04:47I don't want to pile on Sam Darnold after a multi-interception game, but Aaron Jones

04:52got banged up.

04:53If they can't get the offense going, I think their defense is legit, as we have seen all

04:57season.

04:58With Brian Flores as the DC, he's done a great job, but the offense is starting to bring

05:03me some questions.

05:04If we're willing to buy in on the number on the Packers, I think that might be the spot

05:07to go.

05:08I expect both the Eagles and the Commanders to make the playoffs, so someone's going to

05:11have to slip out.

05:12I'm also personally high on the 49ers and the Rams, and low on the Cardinals.

05:17So again, if the Cardinals slip, one of those other teams in the West is going to rise up,

05:22and we're going to see the Vikings slip a little bit.
