00:02this is the third Apostle Receiving Center that was opened.

00:08Let's find out more from Jennifer Gaetano of PIA Caragas.

00:15The third Apostle Receiving Center of the Department of Foreign Affairs or DFA in Mindanao Island is open to the public.

00:21It is in Butuan City that was opened after Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City.

00:26Because of this, it is expected that the access and application of caragans will be easier, even for those who come from the region.

00:33This will also reduce the expenses for our countrymen because they will not have to travel to other places for the Apostle Receiving Center.

00:40Assistant Secretary Adelio Angelito Cruz of the DFA Office of Consular Affairs thanked the local government of Butuan

00:47and the acceptance of First District Las Nieves and Butuan City Congressional Representative Jose Aquino II,

00:52as well as the private sector, for their support and efforts to have an Apostle Receiving Center in the city.

00:59Hopefully, within the next few months, we will do the actual processing of the apostate documents right here in this mall.

01:05So the time that people would usually wait for an ARC, which is about 10 to 12 days, will now be cut down to maybe 3 to 5 days.

01:16The opening of the ARC in Butuan City was witnessed by officials from various government agencies and local residents.

01:23The Apostle Receiving Center of the DFA will be located on the third floor of Robinson's Mall in Butuan City.
