00:00Kendra Andrews joins us now here on the fan or good afternoon how you doing I'm
00:20doing good how are you doing doing fantastic thanks to to you know let's
00:26start with with Golden State here how big of a story is this on ESPN today
00:30with clay returning to Golden State Kendra I mean it's huge I just got off
00:34of NBA today you know setting the scene with with my sister Malika Andrews and
00:39the Warriors are how they're explaining it is they're trying to tribute and
00:43welcome clay back in a way that has never been done before in the NBA and
00:48and you just think back to his 11 seasons with the Warriors how many
00:54historic jaw-dropping incredible moments there were it's a huge deal
00:58right and it's a huge deal to the ESPN it's a huge deal to the NBA it's a huge
01:03deal to the Warriors and even though clay isn't quite talking on it as much
01:07it is a big deal to him as well how surprised were you that he ended up
01:11leaving and coming to the Mavs in the offseason you know I think there's of
01:15course some some surprise because like I said it was his home for 11 years he was
01:22a born and raised a warrior will say in terms of his NBA career right and and
01:26the relationship that he has with Stephen Curry and the trio of him
01:30Stephen dream on green so I think from that standpoint it's always a little
01:33surprising when that kind of dynasty really that legacy comes to an end but
01:39at the same time when you look at his last few years with the Warriors it did
01:45feel as though the writing was a little bit on the wall just in terms of whether
01:49it was his happiness whether it was how the team was doing I think both parties
01:53felt they needed some change to be able to to continue to flourish and so by the
02:01end of last season you know it didn't the way that I'll say the way that the
02:07last season ended it didn't make me actually surprised when it happened even
02:11though of course that shock was was still a little bit there
