00:16I'm one of these guys who got into football through Madden.

00:19My first dream was trying to make it to the league, so I'm kind of living my athletic

00:22dreams through this game.

00:23They want to know what it's like to be Troy Aikman, I'm going to play Troy Aikman.

00:26Some of the best players to ever play have graced the cover of Madden.

00:30But we were starting in complete chaos.

00:32We weren't seeing progress.

00:35Most of us at EA wondered if the game would ever get finished.

00:38We just didn't think that would amount to anything.

00:40Bam, doink, and boom.

00:42We needed some firepower.

00:43X-Wing defense!

00:45John Madden was the man.

00:47Coach Madden was ready to completely change the game.

00:49But I remember John saying, don't do anything to screw up my name.

01:03If I'm going to be part of it, it has to be pro, it has to be realistic.

01:52I remember talking to the kids who weren't really into sports.

01:54We would like connect on things that normally we wouldn't connect on.

01:58The joy and the fun of the first time you played Madden with your friend.

02:03We have to pay homage to that.

02:06That's a magic thing.

02:09Players look at Madden as a reflection of who they are.

02:15You can learn everything from playing a video game.

02:19We're on top every year.

02:22It's going to get bigger and bigger.
