00:00Let's talk about the Bucs.

00:05So the Bucs played the Knicks, I think, going back to Friday night.

00:09And it was in New York at the Garden.

00:12And I was like, I remember after the game Giannis was basically saying,

00:18if guys don't want to be here, and they don't want to win, and they don't want to

00:21try, you know, I'm not having it.

00:24Like, and then they turn around and they lose on Sunday at home to the Celtics.

00:30I mean, I don't, you know, the Celtics covered the five.

00:33I don't know if it was any better because the score was closer, but

00:36they got whacked by the Knicks.

00:38They're 2-8, and they're awful.

00:40And you cannot explain it to me having Dane Lillard and this guy on the floor

00:45on a team, and they suck this bad.

00:49Two things.

00:50You touched on Dane Lillard.

00:51He does not play defense.

00:52You saw Boston yesterday go right after him.

00:54The minute he came back on the floor, specifically in the fourth quarter,

00:57they went right after him.

00:58He doesn't play defense, and he doesn't play defense well.

01:00If you look at Giannis' numbers, and I don't pick on Giannis because he's not

01:04this great of a player, but his defensive statistics are a little bit down from

01:08where they were, go back to 2020, 2021, when they won the championship.

01:12He's about down half in blocked shots, half in steals.

01:15Some of the numbers, if you look at the metrics of their defense, which

01:21transitioned into offensive buckets, it's way down.

01:24This team doesn't have a P.J. Tucker.

01:27They don't have a guy like Drew Holiday.

01:29Drew Holiday was your lockdown guy.

01:31They don't have that.

01:32P.J. Tucker was your dirty junkyard dog.

01:34They don't have that.

01:35This team doesn't want to play defense.

01:36What they rely upon is missed shots.

01:39If the other team misses a shot, then maybe they'll get a rebound.

01:42But if you look at a lot of the metrics, offensive and defensive rebounding

01:45and steals and blocks, they're way down, and that's ultimately costing them.

01:50I guess they're starting to cup tomorrow.

01:52They play the Raptors in Milwaukee.

01:55Do you think it's going to get any better?

01:57I got 20 seconds.

01:59I really don't.

02:00I think you need guys like Gary Trent Jr.

02:02to start shooting better when he comes back, Brook Lopez to play better

02:05when he's on his game.

02:07But until they commit to playing defense, it doesn't matter what coaching

02:11voice you have in that locker room, it's on the players right now.
