00:18That's what the storm Marse experienced here in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

00:25This is how residents of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte perceived the storm Marse.

00:33That's what the scene was like while the storm was cutting through their area.

00:37The storm was really strong here.

00:40Especially the wind.

00:42Almost all the houses, the roofs were blown away.

00:45One of the worst is the seawall in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

00:50The seawall was built just two months ago.

00:53But because of the storm, this is what it looked like.

01:01Even though the covered court of the barangay did not let the storm pass.

01:07You can see how strong the wind brought by the storm Marse.

01:11According to the government of Pagudpud,

01:141,400 houses were partially and totally damaged because of the storm.

01:19It is estimated that 8,000 families were affected by the storm Marse in the entire municipality of Pagudpud.

01:26Based on the latest validation made by Pagudpud LGU,

01:29the total value of the house in their municipality is around 100 million pesos.

01:35Residents are preparing for the arrival of the storm Nika.

01:39Because it is a northern Luzon,

01:42they tied their roofs so that the wind will not blow them away.
