00:08Good evening, Director. This is Dominic Almilor of PTV Ulatbayan Weekend.

00:13Good evening, Don. Good evening to all the viewers of your program.

00:18Director, in the past month, how many were affected by the typhoon Marseille and which places were the most affected, Director?

00:27As of now, there are 21,273 families or 65,610 individuals.

00:42We also have 8,383 families or 24,516 individuals who are living in evacuation centers.

00:57So far, we have not reported deaths until now.

01:03We have also reported preemptively evacuated before the typhoon, 11,858 families or 34,501 individuals in Regions 1, 2 and Cordillera.

01:21Director, are there still people left in evacuation centers, especially now that the typhoon is about to hit?

01:29As of late, we have 365 evacuation centers in place catering to 8,319 families or 24,369.

01:48You're right because what we're looking at is possible that this will be the one that will carry the typhoon Nika.

01:56Maybe that's why we're not letting them go home yet.

02:00What we know is that our local governments are making arrangements to let our countrymen go home safely.

02:11But because of the typhoon, we're expecting Nika by Monday.

02:18So I think it's better to let them go home first, especially to the possible places where the typhoon will pass through.

02:27They should stay in places that are safe, especially evacuation centers and temporary domes.

02:34Director, as of now, according to your monitoring, all the floods have subsided?

02:41There are still areas that we are monitoring the floods.

02:47But in general, it's already flooding.

02:52That's why we are moving a little.

02:55We are maximizing on that window so that we can augment the help and preposition for the next floods.

03:11We are seeing about two to three more after Marseilles.

03:16So we are preparing for that.

03:19Director, as of now, how important are the affected areas?

03:24How is it in the sector of agriculture, Director?

03:28As of now, our sector of agriculture, we still don't have a batch yet.

03:39But we have a cost of assistance that we have given.

03:43This is in terms of family food packs and non-food items.

03:48In terms of domes, it's already up to 3.687 million and counting.

03:57We are continuing to assist our countrymen, which is also the order of our President to provide quality care,

04:05including medical care, especially in evacuation centers.

04:10And others, such as clean water.

04:13Of course, they will have a safe place to live, food, family packs, hygiene kits.

04:19And for those who will start preparing again, we are offering family shelter kits

04:28so that they can at least compose their homes.

04:32The affected areas of Marseilles are already damaged.

04:39do we have enough resources to meet all the needs of our countrymen affected by the typhoon?

05:44We are maximizing all available routes, either by land, by sea or by air,

06:46This is the mandate of our White Kalihim, Secretary Todoro,

06:50who is also the chair of the NDRMC.

06:52Secretary Pomoceno, as the Civil Defense Administrator,

06:57also issued a statement when the volcano erupted,

06:59especially yesterday when the eruption of Volcanic Canlaon erupted.

07:08However, it remains on alert level 2.

07:15However, we are not taking anything by chance.

07:18We are not leaving things to chance.

07:20We are in a worst-case scenario.

07:23What we are saying is that there should not be anything in the permanent danger zone.

07:31Also, the evacuation of our countrymen to a safe place.
