00:00Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most intense, iconic,
00:12and downright gobsmacking lip-sync showdowns we ever saw on the Drag Race main stage.
00:17For this list, we're only looking at the American editions of the show.
00:21Spoilers ahead!
00:29Denali vs. Kamora Hall
00:41Season 13's very first elimination lip-sync pits two Chicago queens against each other.
00:46Before the matchup, Denali assures us that she is about to show her competitors that
00:50they better watch themselves if they have to share the stage with her.
00:53She does not disappoint. In her flamboyant and vibrant feathered outfit,
00:58she catches every beat of this classic 90s house track.
01:12You want invisible instrument playing? She's got you. You want novelty dances?
01:17She nails them. And once she's done with all that, she ends the song with a beautifully timed split.
01:28Her Windy City sister, Kamora Hall, didn't stand a chance.
01:37Morphine Love Dion vs. Dawn
01:44In their expensive-looking draped chains, Morphine Love Dion embodies this hot girl anthem.
01:50Shaking their booty in chain-themed runway look for all it's worth,
01:53the queen ensures all eyes are on her from beginning to end.
01:58Morphine's choreography is lightning fast,
02:09but it doesn't stop her from managing a word-perfect lip-sync. It's an undeniable victory.
02:14She even gives her opponent Dawn a parting shot with an invisible shotgun.
02:28Although there were some true lip-sync artists on Season 16,
02:36Morphine proved that they were Morphine the lip-sync assassin with this Megan Thee Stallion song.
02:41Number 8. Chi Chi DeVayne vs. Thorgy Thor
02:52The Bayou Queen leaves it all on the floor in this Season 8 lip-sync.
02:56And yes, we mean that literally.
02:58And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going is the famously soul-bearing ballad from Dreamgirls.
03:16Any queen who wants to perform it must deliver on the emotion.
03:19Chi Chi DeVayne brings all that and more.
03:22At the climax of the song, Chi Chi steps on her long necklace.
03:26Showering the main stage with beads as she barrels into the numbers finale.
03:42Was it a happy accident or was it the dramatic instincts of a great queen?
03:46Whichever it was, it instantly became one of the show's most iconic lip-sync moments.
03:50We all got goosebumps.
03:56Number 7. Laganja Estranja vs. Trinity K. Bonet
04:21She only appears in one episode of All-Stars' 6th installment.
04:25But Laganja Estranja leaves quite an impression.
04:27And not just from the force of that entrance.
04:30From the moment she drops onto the stage,
04:32the episode's lip-sync assassin is here to slay the competition
04:35as if she's coming for the grand prize too.
04:37She battles Trinity K. Bonet, her season 6 castmate, to the Dua Lipa song Physical.
04:57Not even the queens offstage are safe from the slayage.
05:00They nearly get taken out by Laganja's flying corset.
05:03Trinity puts up a great fight.
05:05It just goes to show how amazing Laganja's performance is.
05:19Number 6. Sasha Velour vs. Shea Coulee
05:25Yes, the rose reveals are insane and unforgettable.
05:36But this lip-sync from season 9's finale
05:38is an absolute monster of a performance on every possible scale.
05:43Eventual third place finisher Shea Coulee is giving seasoned pop star precision and
05:55choreo that would be at home on a stadium tour.
05:58Sasha Velour, meanwhile, turns a classic upbeat Whitney Houston number
06:02into an intense and melodramatic performance piece,
06:05giving us theatrical acting with a capital A.
06:13This is the drag race equivalent of a death match.
06:24If it hadn't been for Sasha's truly shocking rose petals,
06:27it would have been a true fight to the finish.
06:29Number 5. Alyssa Edwards vs. Coco Montrese
06:32After all the drama with our last pageant experience,
06:36we both want this crown.
06:38This will be the tiebreaker.
06:39There was no chance this showdown wasn't gonna be dramatic.
06:42Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese spent season 5 locked in a feud that existed
06:47before they ever stepped into the workroom.
06:49Paula Abdul's cold-hearted is their battlefield.
06:56I'm making sure the judges see every word that's coming out of my mouth,
06:59as if I was Paula Abdul herself.
07:05Alyssa has the dance background to kill any uptempo track,
07:08but her competitor has already sent two other queens packing before her.
07:12Regardless of Alyssa's credentials, Coco bests her every step.
07:16A lot of the thanks goes to her beautiful runway look.
07:19The flouncy sleeves move in perfect unison with the song.
07:22She is poetry in motion.
07:26The lip sync is jaw-dropping.
07:29It's gonna be neck and neck.
07:35Number 4. Anitra vs. Marsha Marsha Marsha
07:42The only thing better than one queen absolutely dominating a lip sync
07:54is two queens absolutely dominating a lip sync.
07:57Picture it.
07:58It's season 15, week 11.
07:59Fan favorite Anitra is facing the possibility of duck walking right out of the competition.
08:04Marsha Marsha Marsha is constantly underestimated.
08:07Both of them have everything to lose and no ducks left to give.
08:12It isn't just the thumping bass on this Doja Cat track making the whole studio shake.
08:26Few lip syncs batter the stage like this one.
08:29The synchronized stunts alone are worth the price of admission.
08:42It's Anitra completely sabotaging Marsha's impressive
08:46backbend with a flawless front flip that wins it though.
08:59Number 3. Tatiana vs. Alyssa Edwards
09:13Not every drag race queen gets a second chance.
09:15Previously eliminated all-stars Alyssa Edwards and Tatiana must have known that
09:19because they came back hungry and left Neri a crumb.
09:23Taking on Rihanna's Shut Up and Drive for a chance to re-enter the season,
09:26they were a dynamic duo of unstoppable power.
09:30The G-Force wins from all that twirling might have even lifted a few of the less secure wigs in the room.
09:35It was what you might call a joint slay.
09:59They threw it into first gear, hit the gas and left tire marks on the main stage.
10:06We're out of driving references so we'll shut up now.
10:09Number 2. Evie Oddly vs. Brooklyn Heights
10:25Considering they turned out to be the final two,
10:27it's fair to say that these season 11 contestants were well matched.
10:30But their triumph in the competition is not all they share.
10:33After failing in the Snatch Game main challenge, the future finalists face elimination.
10:38Evie Oddly's uncanny flexibility and Brooklyn Heights' well-honed dance skills
10:42turn this Demi Lovato hit into a total stunt show.
10:57Each time we think they can't possibly top the last move,
11:01they add in a headstand or some other series of contortions
11:03that could keep a physical therapist in business for years.
11:21This is one of those times where we're grateful for disastrous Snatch Game performances.

11:42Number 1. Dita Ritz vs. The Princess
11:56An electrifying gem from the early seasons,
12:01this buoyant Natalie Cole lip sync is an all-time great moment for the franchise.
12:06Season 4's Dita Ritz is a force of nature on that stage.
12:09You've given me the thrill of a lifetime
12:12and made me believe you've got more thrills to spare.
12:16Oh, this will be an everlasting love.
12:21Oh, yes it will now.
12:24As intense as it is joyful,
12:26Dita's take on this will be an everlasting love is high energy and high drama.
12:30Having the original artist watching you do their song seems terrifying,
12:34but Cole's presence may have given Dita that extra incentive to turn it out.
12:39So long as I'm living true love, I'll be giving to you.
12:41I'll be serving because you're so deserving.
12:43I'm so, so deserving.
12:46You're so deserving, yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:50With everything from her full-bodied commitment to the number
12:53to a move that can only be described as revving an invisible chainsaw,
12:57the queen is explosive to watch.
12:59That is what a lip sync for your life is, baby.
13:02That is high drag at its finest.
13:05Okay, but now I'll...
13:08Which lip sync had you on the edge of your seat?
