राजसमंद.  लोकसभा में प्रतिपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी की ओर से प्रका​शित लेख पर मेवाड़ के सियासी गलियारों में हड़कंप मचा हुआ है। समाचार पत्रों में  प्रका​शित गांधी के एक लेख के कुछ अंश में रजवाड़ों को लेकर जो बयान दिए गए हैं। उस मामले में नाथद्वारा विधायक विश्वराज सिंह मेवाड़ मुखर होकर सामने आए हैं और राहुल गांधी के बयान का विरोध किया है।  क्या लिखा था राहुल गांधी ने... लेख में राहुल गांधी ने लिखा था,  ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने हमारे महाराजाओं और नवाबों के साथ साझेदारी करके, उन्हें प्रलोभन देकर और धमकाकर भारत का गला घोंट दिया। इसने हमारे बैंकिंग, व्यापार और सूचना नेटवर्क को नियंत्रित किया।  विधायक ने भारत सरकार के श्वते पत्र का किया जिक्र गांधी के लेख में रजवाड़ों को लेकर दिए बयान में नाथद्वारा विधायक विश्वराज सिंह मेवाड़ ने आपत्ति जताते हुए कहा है कि भारत सरकार द्वारा राज्यों पर श्वेत पत्र मार्च 1950 में जारी किया था। उसमें स्पष्ट रूप से वर्णित था कि राजाओं के देशभक्तिपूर्ण सहयोग के बिना, भारत में लोगों और शासकों के पारस्परिक लाभ के लिए जो जबरदस्त परिवर्तन आया है, वह संभव नहीं होता। उन्होंने कल्पना, दूरदर्शिता और देशभक्ति का सबूत दिया है। वे स्वतंत्र और लोकतांत्रिक भारत के निर्माण में सह-वास्तुकार हैं।  गांधी को श्वेत पत्र पढ़ने की नसीहत... नाथद्वारा विधायक मेवाड़ ने कहा कि राहुल गांधी का अखबारों में प्रकाशित लेख गलत है। या तो उनके पास देश के इतिहास के बारे में ठीक से जानकारी नहीं है, या जानबूझकर गलत प्रचार कर रहे हैं, जो देशभक्तों का अपमान है। उन्होंने कहा कि राहुल गांधी को भारत सरकार द्वारा मार्च 1950 में जारी श्वेत पत्र जरूर देखना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की आजादी से पहले और बाद में भी राज्यों (रजवाड़ों) की ओर से सरकार को जनहित में हर तरह से सहयोग प्रदान किया गया था, जिसे सभी भली-भांति जानते हैं।
