00:02Hi Luke.

00:03Weekend in Taipei has something for everyone.

00:12Yeah, it was, as soon as I picked it up,

00:15I was just entertained by the whole thing.

00:17I remember reading it going, hell yeah, let's do this.

00:20This is gonna be so much fun and entertaining, you know,

00:24and you really, I don't know,

00:26I think you root for the characters.

00:27You root for John.

00:29He's an everyman, you know, he's sort of like,

00:32he suffers with all the ailments

00:33and the mid-40s kind of dramas that, you know,

00:37a lot of men I know, and I can relate to that.

00:39I'm his age, and I like that.

00:41I think he just, I like the guy,

00:43and I just, you know, he's got a charm

00:46and a glint in his eye, and I think that's quite cool.

00:48How long does it take to physically prepare

00:50for a movie like this, with so much running and fighting?

00:53Do you do your own stunts?

00:54I do all my own stunts, yeah.

00:56Yeah, that's me.

00:57I was like, I went there three weeks

00:58before we started shooting,

01:00so I could learn with a stunt coordinator.

01:03Then we had to build this very long fight sequence,

01:05and we'd be fighting several times with the movie,

01:07and that's how we did it, yeah.

01:08It was like learning choreography.

01:10You posted on Instagram the other day with a Coldplay song.

01:13♪♪

01:16And you made headlines this summer

01:18when you went to their concert with Joe Jonas,

01:20Kylie Minogue, and Liam Hemsworth.

01:22Do you have any plans to hang out soon?

01:24We all met at an event in Athens,

01:27and it just wasn't supposed to happen,

01:29but we were all there, and Joe was the ringleader,

01:33and he said, let's go see Coldplay,

01:34and we were like, okay, and then sure enough,

01:36the whole of us, all of us went together,

01:38and it was an awesome night, yeah.

01:39We're going to go see the Jonas Brothers.

01:41I think Joe was telling us the other day his dates,

01:45because we love the Jonas Brothers,

01:48and so we're going to go see them

01:51in one of their dates on tour.

01:53Now we can add author to your list of accomplishments.

01:56What made you decide to write a memoir?

01:58We've all got a story to tell, and for some reason,

02:00somebody thought it would be good for me to do it,

02:01and I said no several times and then thought,

02:04actually, there is a story here, and it is inspiring,

02:07and it may, you know, inspire young people

02:09who may be, you know, not finding their footing

02:13or know what they want to do or their identity

02:15or they're struggling with something,

02:17and my story may help them,

02:19and that's the thing that kicked me into doing it.

02:22I'm very proud of everything that's happened to me,

02:24even the bad bits and the uncomfortable moments in my life.

02:27That's what creates each and every one of us.

02:29Every part of my story gets me right here

02:34sitting in this seat talking to you

02:36with a smile on my face.

02:37And with the launch of your clothing line earlier this year,

02:40we can add designer to the list too.

02:42One of your partners on the brand

02:43is also your partner in real life.

02:45What's one high and one low about going into business

02:47with someone you're so close to?

02:49Oh, I think, to be honest, we're a great team.

02:52We're a great team in life.

02:53We're, he's my best friend,

02:55and he's the calm, deep waters,

03:00and I am the rushing, you know, bubbly water,

03:03and between the two of us, we can solve anything.

03:06We work together as a team,

03:08and so having a business together

03:11just is an extension of our life together,

03:14and we work really well together.

03:17He blows my mind.

03:18He's like, he's so impressive at everything he does

03:21in the business and in life, so it's great.

03:38which is a big alien apocalyptic kind of movie.

03:41I'm an undercover DEA agent.
