Nigeria's abductions: 'Local leaders gave the state conditions'

00:00I'm aware that previously some governors, one of them who is a minister today at the

00:06federal level, brought together all the ardos in Nigeria, ardos are the traditional rulers

00:12in the Fulani community, and discussed with them, and they gave them two conditions, the

00:16ardos, that if government fulfils that condition, they will make sure no youth from among their

00:23community join bandit groups, and those conditions, one includes the dismantling of all vigilante

00:31groups in northern Nigeria, the second condition was the provision of social amenities for

00:37their communities, and as far as I'm concerned these are not difficult demands, but my point

00:42is the demands are known, why that solution is not being implemented is really because

00:47of the absence of political will.
