00:00Former President Rodrigo Duterte, who was a protector of drug lords, was accused by the former police colonel Eduardo Asierto.

00:09He was hoping that Duterte would be able to answer the accusation.

00:12However, he did not respond to the accusation.

00:16The congressmen were dismayed.

00:19Here is what Melales Moras had to say.

00:22He has promised us, this committee, through his letter, that after November 1, he will be present in today's hearing.

00:31What is this? Are we lying here? If we are not lying here, then what? Is he afraid?

00:38I would like to reiterate once again that we should invite again the former president to be present in the next hearing.

00:47The congressmen were dismayed that the former president Rodrigo Duterte did not respond to the 10 hearings of the House Quad Committee

00:56on the issues of illegal drugs and homicidal killings during the administration.

01:02For the young people, Duterte still has a lot to answer and his testimony in the Senate is not enough.

01:09In the next hearing, the Quad Committee also called Duterte's lawyer, Atty. Martin Delgra III.

01:16Delgra first sent a letter to the Joint Panel where he laid the reasons why his client did not respond.

01:24This was because the former president doubted the integrity and motive of the Quad Committee.

01:40But even though Duterte did not respond, there are many other resource speakers who are present in the hearing,

01:49like former police colonel Eduardo Ascierto, former customs intelligence officer Jimmy Guban,

01:55negotiator Rose Nonolin, former PT FOMS executive director Paul Gutierrez, and former DNR undersecretary Benny Antiporda.

02:03Ascierto has a heavy accusation against former president Duterte.

02:08Maybe my biggest accomplishment is that I discovered, we discovered the protection that former president Duterte gave to two drug personalities,

02:25Michael Yang and Allan Lee.

02:29I think that is my biggest accomplishment.

02:33That's why I was able to discover the protection that former president Duterte gave to two drug personalities.

02:39Ascierto has been accused by Duterte of illegal drugs.

02:46If the former president faces the Quad Committee, this is one of the issues they want to clarify.

02:52Before the hearing, a mass was held in the chamber for the victims of humanoid extrajudicial killings during the administration.

03:00The Quad Committee leaders also issued a new resolution from their investigation on POGO.

03:07That is House Bill No. 11043 or Proposed Civil for Future Act,

03:12which pushes to return to the state the illegal lands bought by foreigners in the country.

03:19This is a big step because we discovered a lot of properties acquired by foreign nationals in our country.

03:30We know that this is against our Constitution.

03:34That's why we are clarifying this through this House Bill so that this will not happen again.
