The Australian prime minister described America's relationship with Australia as being that of 'old allies and true friends, and said his government would 'strive to strengthen co-operation between our two nations'.

00:35President Trump has run a campaign based on change, and he's made it clear he's going

00:40to do things differently.

00:41So we shouldn't be surprised if things change, but equally we should be really confident

00:48in ourselves and our place in the world as well, and our ability to deliver on our interests
