00:00You could sell it, son.
00:03You could bottle it up and sell it.
00:06One of the beautiful things about being here in Montana
00:10is the sets are constant.
00:12Nothing prettier on this earth.
00:14There is a scene in season three,
00:17and I think the line in the script said,
00:19horses cascade down the mountain.
00:21Someone said, do you want to shot list this?
00:23And I said, look, it's 200 horses and babies.
00:25They're not going to hit their mark.
00:26We just have to have a plan to embrace the natural beauty
00:29of what happens.
00:30Let's get up there as fast as we can
00:32and just chase some son of bitches down a mountain.
00:34In the process of making a television show,
00:37there are many different flavors of difficult.
00:39We did a scene in episode one of season five,
00:43and we had 50 mounted police officers,
00:4614 horse thieves with 30 horses,
00:49and then Casey's livestock team with another 20 horses,
00:53and we were shooting helicopters from helicopters,
00:55and it was terrifying,
00:57and it's probably one of my favorite sequences of scope
01:00that I've been lucky enough to shoot on the show.
01:02You know, the only time I'm solely focused on the presence
01:05on this horse.
01:06Embracing natural beauty and the authenticity of animals
01:11and how they move and how they are characters
01:14in this story as well.
01:16We felt lucky to be in their presence
01:18and to capture what they were giving us.
01:20It felt like we were there witnessing something
01:23very few people get to see in their life.
