00:12We start in Morocco with the situation of the labor market.
00:16The unemployment rate has slightly increased between the third quarter of 2023 and that of 2024,
00:22from 13.5% to 13.6%
00:26recording an increase of 0.4 points in rural areas
00:30and a stagnation of 17% in urban areas.
00:33According to the recent report of the High Commissioner for Planning,
00:37the number of unemployed has increased by 58,000 people
00:40between the third quarter of the previous year and that of 2024,
00:45from 1,625,000 to 1,683,000 unemployed,
00:51which corresponds to an increase of 4%.
00:54This increase resulting from an increase of 42,000 unemployed in urban areas
00:59and 16,000 in rural areas.
01:02By sector of activity, the sector of public buildings and works

01:50The HCP also states that between the third quarter of 2023

01:58the rate of activity has increased nationally from 43.2% to 43.6%.

02:10and from 41.9% to 42.5% in urban areas.
