Bears QB Caleb Williams says he felt the effects of a hangover from the Hail Mary pass early last week but safety Kevin Byard disputes this.

00:00I think, I think early on in the week, I think we could have done better overall.

00:11Of bouncing back after that, I know it's a tough loss.

00:13It's tough regardless of, you know, who you are in the facility.

00:18If you're out there making plays or if you're making decisions up top.

00:21And so, you know, being better at that understanding that, you know,

00:26we have many more games left after that, been able to, you know, be one,

00:32be a family and move on from that and have the right leaders, and which we do.

00:37We have the right guys to do, you know, things like that,

00:40which is bounce back from something like that, and we got to do it this week.

00:45Not me personally, I had moved on from it after Wednesday or, you know,

00:48after the Monday and Tuesday media cycle and all that stuff, I had moved on from it.

00:54I was completely focused on this upcoming week and

00:57trying to go out there and win a ball game.

01:01You know, last week was last week and this week was this week.

01:04We just got our butts whooped, you know what I mean?

01:06So I just think that when you lose in that type of fashion,

01:09things are immediately pointed back to last week and the things that happened.

01:12But, you know, when you watch the film,

01:15I don't see anything from last week that affected this game.

01:19We just lost.

01:21We didn't play well enough on either phase of the game, and the Cardinals did.

01:26So you got to give them credit.

01:28You can't sit here and be like, well, it's because of this excuse or that excuse.

01:31No, we just lost the game.

01:33And I don't want to point to anything that happened last week.

01:37Cuz like I said, I don't think it had any effect on this game.
