00:00We have been digging into the factors that are motivating voters this election
00:04cycle and we are finding from the AP vote cast data about half of voters said
00:10future of democracy was the single most important factor for their decision to
00:15vote this election.
00:21That's higher than the share that said the same thing about inflation, the US-
00:25Mexico border, or abortion.
00:36While voters are concerned about the future of democracy, AP vote cast find
00:40some good news with a majority of voters confident that the nation will be able
00:45to accurately count the votes this election both nationally and in their
00:50own states. But just four in ten voters are very confident in that. That is
00:55unchanged from what we saw back in 2020.
