Scouts help Poppy sellers in West Bromwich.

West Bromwich Tesco and Poppy sellers were in good spirits and the scouts were on hand to help.

00:08Cool, and Tesco are official partners, is that right?

00:11So they're doing their bit.

00:13Now, let's get back to basics. Why do we sell poppies?

00:16We sell poppies in remembrance of the soldiers that died and are still fighting today, and their families.

00:21Yeah.

00:22And where does the money go to?

00:23It goes to the Royal British Legion.

00:25And that helps...

00:26That helps serving soldiers and veterans and also their families.

00:31Got you.

00:32And you've got your own little army of helpers here today?

00:35We have, yes. The scouts who've come the last few years, which we're very grateful for.

00:38Yeah, yeah.

00:39And just fill us in, there's a few different things people can buy, isn't there?

00:44Go on, talk us through your range of products.

00:46We've got the original poppies.

00:49We've got the biodegradable ones, as you can tell.

00:52Oh, okay, yeah.

00:53We've got the plastic on.

00:54We've got the crosses, there are a few nationalities, two faiths, and for those we know faith.

01:00We've got this year's pin badges.

01:03We've got the crocheted and knitted poppies, which have been given to us by people like supporters,

01:09who just do them for me every year.

01:11Am I right in thinking the purple's to remember the animals?

01:14Animals, yes.

01:15Pass it, yeah.

01:16They're not actually British RBL ones, but people knit them for me, and we give all the donations to the RBL.

01:23Great stuff, yeah.

01:24And obviously we've got for the kids, the snap bands.

01:26Yeah.

01:27We've got ghillie top capes.

01:29We've got, like, I'll be honest, some of the things I don't even know what they are.

01:33Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:34And the reflectors, a lot of people put them on the dog collars.

01:37Ah, useful.

01:38So you can see the dogs when they're in the door.

01:39Yeah, yeah, totally.

01:40And I say, actually, we also have a raffle in.

03:01Um, it's just to give back a little bit and to help people with what they've done for people like myself and others out there.
