00:00The Marikina City Health Office will now take over the Barangka Municipal Cemetery

00:06after the illegal and unauthorized inspection of several graves in the cemetery was discovered.

00:12This is Patrick De Jesus' story.

00:16It's very upsetting because he's my father and he's my uncle.

00:21Christine is just one of the many loved ones whose grave was inspected

00:27in the Barangka Municipal Cemetery in Marikina City.

00:30Like other complainants, the grave of her relative is now in a different location.

00:37She also doesn't know where it is.

00:39The memory of the deceased relative was replaced by a broken heart.

00:47We're not with him anymore and we still can't bring him here because he's no longer here.

00:53The Marikina City Health Office is currently investigating the Barangka Cemetery.

00:58The former administrator and other people of the cemetery were removed

01:03and the violation of the Sanitation Code and grave neglect of duty was also charged

01:09because of the unauthorized inspection of the graves.

01:12The complainants talked to each other

01:15to get the details of the grave of their relative for the burial of the graves that were inspected.

01:21It's painful and sad to think about our relatives who can't be brought here.

01:28If that's their situation, our duty is theirs.

01:33Just give us enough time to finish our work.

01:40Immediately, when we have identified the bones,

01:46we will immediately give them the information.

01:53Another thing that the LGU is investigating

01:55is the unauthorized payment of 500 pesos per year

01:59to the complainants so that the bones of their relatives can be preserved.

02:08Maybe it's just for the sake of our relatives.

02:12It's not for the sake of the office.

02:16It should be a medicine for official use.

02:20The Marikina LGU has a free cremation allowance

02:24for the families of the buried graves.
