00:00Several programs were planned by the Department of Health,

00:03particularly in Calabarzon.

00:05One of them is the Immunization Program for the Region.

00:08This is Quenzel Bocobo of IBC 13 in Balitang Pambansa.

00:15In the ongoing care for the health of the people,

00:18the Department of Health is focusing on 8 important aspects,

00:23which is also in accordance with the President's Directive.

00:26These include water and sanitation hygiene,

00:29tuberculosis and HIV,

00:31road safety,

00:32non-communicable diseases,

00:34cancer,

00:35and three other programs included in the Family Health Cluster,

00:39National Immunization,

00:41Nutrition and Breastfeeding,

00:43and Safe Motherhood Program.

00:45The three programs included in the Family Health Cluster

00:48were discussed on the second day of the DOH-Calabarzon Summit

00:53with several other health stakeholders.

00:56The topic of the discussion was Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges.

01:00Through this summit,

01:02we want to give recognition,

01:04especially the ongoing efforts of our provinces in Calabarzon,

01:10and hopefully, it will be strengthened

01:12through activities and partnerships in the coming years.

01:17Among the topics discussed,

01:19the aspects that need to be strengthened

01:21when it comes to the National Immunization Program,

01:24Nutrition and Breastfeeding,

01:26and Safe Motherhood Program.

01:28In immunization, the indicator is fully immunized children

01:32where children should be vaccinated.

01:36In nutrition, we want to fight stunting.

01:40Lastly, in maternal program,

01:42our indicator is maternal mortality rate.

01:46Based on the data,

01:48only 42.4% from the 95% target

01:53were immunized in Calabarzon,

01:56but 5.86% of the stunting rate in the region.

02:00In maternal mortality rate,

02:0282 deaths out of almost 300,000 live births

02:06were recorded last year.

02:09The results are good,

02:12but the agency wants to strengthen it.

02:15That's why they will have more summits

02:19and other health activity programs.
