00:00There's been a lot of critics of Dave Roberts, he's only won once, they make the playoffs

00:07every year, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, basically he says screw

00:13the critics.

00:14I've now won twice.

00:15Here he is.

00:16I'm going to take the high road.

00:19You know, it's hard to win a championship regardless of what your team is like.

00:25It's hard.

00:26And there's a reason why there hasn't been a repeat champion since the Yankees did it.

00:29And so it clearly speaks to the difficult, the playoff format, all that stuff.

00:33And so I'm going to be in the moment and I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this one.

00:38And I'm sure there's no asterisks on this one.

00:41And Andrew said Shohei told him in the clubhouse, let's do this nine more times.

00:46Do you feel the pressure of nine more times?

00:49I don't want to get to pressure yet.

00:50I've dealt with pressure quite a bit.

00:52I'm going to enjoy this one.

00:55But you know, once we get to spring training, that's certainly going to be the goal.

00:59Well, he brings that up.

01:00Let me just say this to you, piggyback off that, because he brought up Shohei.

01:04The exact opposite of judge in terms of he's now won a World Series and nobody will even

01:10remember he played in one because he obviously did nothing in the World Series, Otani.

01:15He had the greatest year of all time, but he did nothing in the World Series.

01:19Nothing.

01:20He was hurt.

01:21Fine.

01:22But he did nothing.

01:23Listen, the other thing that stands out to me is what he said about winning.

01:25You know, it really is brutally hard.

01:29And the Mafia, I always go back to playing basketball, like four times we went undefeated

01:35and lost in the championship.

01:37Four times we were undefeated.

01:38We won every game except the title game.

01:41You never live it down.

01:43Four times we went undefeated and won it.

01:45So I was four and four after going undefeated.

01:50You never realize how hard it is until you're in that position to win it.

01:57Like people think it's so easy.

01:59I think sports fans think winning titles in World Series, Stanley Cup, anything else is

02:04easy.

02:05Now you watch the Chiefs win back to back.

02:07So everybody's like, it's so easy.

02:09It is not easy to win at all.

02:12You can go and lose.

02:13The Yankees just went and lost and they, you know, the Dodgers were favored and they beat

02:19them.

02:20It is, but even he said, look, you know, he's won twice and he's, it's really hard to close

02:25the deal to win it, to get in it.

02:28Everything has to fall into place.

02:29And then you have to actually finish the deal.

02:33Once you get there, like the Yankees got there and they failed and the Dodgers got there

02:38and they won it.

02:39And it's hard to do it.

02:40It'll be hard.

02:41You know, I've already heard dynasty.

02:44Is there such a thing in baseball anymore at dynasty because the Yankees were the last

02:48dynasty and no one's repeated since every year.

02:51And someone knew last year, I almost puked that I had to watch the Texas Rangers and

02:56Arizona Diamondbacks.

02:57I mean, really, honestly, it was that bad.

02:59So this was supposed to be the greatest world series ever.

03:03And it really wasn't.
