Rat scurries across car as couple drives down motorway

This is the grim moment a couple spotted a rat running along their car bonnet - as they drove along a motorway.

Unfazed by the speed, the rodent was seen scurrying around the exterior of the vehicle and along the car's right windows.

The couple was driving down a busy motorway in Xi'an, northwestern China, last week (Oct 22) when they first heard a noise .

Unable to find a way in, the rodent returned to bonnet before scuttling back into the engine.
