00:00Slowly, vendors in Veracatanduanes are receiving financial assistance under the Ayuda para sa Kaposangkita program of DSWD.

00:08Juris Delarosa of Radyo Pilipinas-Catanduanes has the national news.

00:15The market and food vendors in Veracatanduanes are very happy after receiving financial assistance from the government.

00:22This is through the AYUDA para sa Kaposangkita program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development of DSWD

00:30in cooperation with the Congressional District Office.

00:33Almost 400 vendors have been beneficiaries of this program

00:36where each of them received P3,000 in the payout that was made yesterday in Barangay Calatagan Covered Court,

00:42according to Catanduanes Congressman Leo Rodriguez.

00:45It is now a priority for the vendors because they are the only ones who received financial assistance,

00:50especially now that the situation is difficult.

00:52The prices of their suppliers have increased due to the problem of transportation in Bicol

00:58and the effects on the farmers of Maguyong, Cristina.

01:01The AYUDA is trying to add more to the capital so that these people can earn money

01:06so that they will not stop looking for a job.

01:09Vendor beneficiaries thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

01:14for their great help to alleviate the difficulties they are experiencing now.

01:20I am very grateful to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Martin Romaldez for their help to us.

01:31Even though President Leo Rodriguez is no longer here,

01:36we were not able to get any additional assistance from him.

01:41Today, the DSWD team visited the towns of Pantan and Bagamanok

01:47to continue distributing financial assistance to the beneficiaries or sectors of the economy

01:54that have been affected by the two consecutive weeks in the province.
