00:05it got its hands full this week, and especially on the weekend for the Days of the Dead holidays.
00:11For even safer measure and extra public protection, it beefed up deployment with 3,000 more cops
00:16in graveyards, memorial parks, cemeteries, and public spaces of mass convergence, automatically
00:22switching into increased alert status.

00:29To ensure a peaceful observance of the Days of the Dead or UNDAS this year, the Philippine
00:34National Police, or PNP, has increased its deployment of police officers.
00:38According to PNP's post-person, Brigadier General Jane Fajardo, the initial deployment
00:43of over 18,000 police officers has been increased.
00:46The number has reached 21,000 police officers.
00:50They will be assigned in various cemeteries, public places, bus terminals, seaports, airports,
00:56and other crowded areas.
01:17Despite the additional force deployed, the PNP clarified not having monitored any threats
01:22for the UNDAS holidays as of yet.
01:50Despite this, Fajardo stated that since yesterday, they have raised their alert to heightened
01:56status.
01:57This means that 75 percent of their force is on deployment.
02:01The PNP has given regional directors the discretion to raise the alert status in their areas depending
02:07on the peace and order situation.
02:35The PNP earlier advised those traveling out of town to leave their homes under the care
02:39of relatives or trusted neighbors, and avoid posting at the moment updates on social media.
