The members of the G7 find themselves stranded in the woods with zombie-like bog bodies in this surreal political comedy horror with a starry cast, but Film Brain finds this satire too aimless - he likes the giant brain, though.

00:06Rumours. The members of the G7, including Cate Blanchett as an Angela Merkel-esque German

00:12Chancellor and Charles Dance as a Biden-esque sleepy US President, find themselves in the midst

00:17of a bog body apocalypse. The movie is pretty clearly a commentary on the G7's ineptitude and

00:24empty platitudes when it comes to addressing things like the climate crisis. That's a joke

00:29that rather wears thin by about halfway through. Rumour's absurd humour does occasionally hit the

00:35mark. Alicia Vikander shows up speaking Swedish alongside a giant brain and Rory Dupre steals

00:41much of the film as the Canadian Prime Minister who's ultimately cowardly and heroic. But the

00:46scattershot execution largely wastes its very talented cast and it can't be bothered to

00:51properly commit to its horror elements so they're mostly left trundling through the

00:55woods without purpose, aim or direction. And so too does the film.
