Met Police investigate London cheese heist worth £300,000

00:15produce stolen in a scam on 21 October. Mr Holden said he believed the con was sophisticated

00:23and the cheese could have been taken to Russia or the Middle East.

00:27The Met Police is investigating and Neil's Yard Dairy said it was working with international

00:33authorities to identify the scammers.

00:36The high-value, award-winning cheeses, which also include Wescombe and Pitchfork, are sold

00:42for as much as £45 per kilogram. The fraudsters posed as an agent of a French supermarket

00:50in order to receive the 22 tonnes of cloth-bound cheeses from the Southwark-based company without

00:56paying for it, Mr Holden said.
