Sophie Mei Lan Malin asks people in Yorkshire the best things about where they live.

00:00What do you love about where you live?

00:03Where I live? We're only five minutes away from the countryside.

00:07We've got a nice little market town, Samuel John's, ex-mining town.

00:12All the mines have closed, as you know.

00:15But within five minutes I can be out in the countryside and not see another house.

00:19And whereabouts is that?

00:20South Hemsall.

00:22What do you love about where you live?

00:24Okay, I live in between Bradford and Leeds.

00:28I think it's perfect because I'm still surrounded by all the Yorkshire Dales, the countryside.

00:34But I can also get into Leeds and go shopping as quick and easy as I want to.

00:39What do you love about where you live?

00:42What do I love about where I live?

00:44Because it's so near to so many different places.

00:47So I live in Sheffield, but I'm near to Rotherham, I'm near to the Peak District,

00:52near to shops if I need it.

00:55Yeah, so Yorkshire's just really, love it.

00:58What do you love about where you live?

01:01I love Wakefield, it's a group in Sheffield.

01:04It's city girl at heart, but it's just small enough and perfect enough.

01:10What do you love about where you live?

01:13I love all the countryside around me.

01:16I love the friendly atmosphere.

01:19I love the community.

01:22We're all coming together, we all work together, we are so friendly.

01:27I love all the people that I meet.

01:30I just love everything about it.

01:32I love where I live because we're not far away from the countryside,

01:36so it doesn't take long to get out in the fresh air.

01:39And we're only an hour away from the beach, so that's why I like Yorkshire.
