00:00The Bureau of the Treasury, or BTR, reported the national government's budget deficit

00:05widened in September this year.

00:07It went up to 8.9 percent to Php 273.3 billion from Php 250.9 billion during the same month

00:16last year.

00:17Meanwhile, the revenue collections rose by 17.32 percent to Php 299.7 billion from Php

00:26255.4 billion recorded a year ago.

00:29Moreover, for the first nine months of 2024, the budget deficit narrowed by 1.35 percent

00:36to Php 970.2 billion from Php 983.5 billion a year ago.
