There are fears for the future of birthing services at Camperdown hospital/

00:00So I'm here representing the community of women and families in Camperdown who are concerned

00:06about the risk of the maternity services completely closing after a five week pause back in August

00:13where Southwest Healthcare, as Roma said, undertook a review into the service.

00:19So five weeks later it did recommence with birthing, however the service has continually

00:23been on bypass which means women are not able to attend in labour, they're redirected to

00:30Warrnambool and this is an on and off occasion so women are very frustrated with their care

00:38being thrown back and forth, they're stressed because they're not sure who to call, they

00:43feel very much out of the loop.
