00:00The next image he had was of a vast, empty room, smothered in darkness save for a single
00:07shaft of light that illuminated a circle in the centre of the floor. Within that circle
00:13was a figure, crouching forward as though in pain. It was impossible to see any features
00:18as the stranger was completely covered in material which looked like filthy, wet rags.
00:24And whoever it was, they were toying with an object on the floor. As Arthur watched
00:30he saw a withered hand emerge from the folds of grimy cloth and a crooked finger jabbed
00:35at the object, sending it spinning across the floor towards him. It made a scraping
00:41noise as it slid over the flagstones and came to rest at his feet. It was the brooch. It
00:47looked damaged and scuffed but the amethyst still glittered hypnotically. He crouched
00:52down and retrieved it from the floor and as he did so, the huddled figure scuttled
00:57across the room towards him. It moved with the dexterity of a crab and Arthur was sure
01:04he heard the clicking of bones as it approached him.
