So this is Reforest AI, a device I built to track deforestation.
00:10
I built it to track if a tree is being cut down currently or not, as trees are huge supporters
00:17
of the ecosystem.
00:21
What it does is that it tracks the orientation and the angles of trees using two sensors
00:25
that are inside there.
00:26
It also tracks location of where a tree currently is, so if it's being cut down at the moment,
00:33
we can know where the tree is in particular.
00:42
So what inspired my innovations is my undying passion to live my dream as a young child.
00:53
I thought about a ton of things I could do, some things I saw on TV, and I just wanted
00:59
to recreate.
01:00
But as I grew older, I thought of functionalities I could add to them to make them practical
01:05
in real life.
01:13
Sourcing my materials.
01:15
Luckily there's a local vendor around my area where I can get electrical components, and
01:19
as for parts I really can't get from shops, I recycle to get things done.
01:26
Hardware, there's a major challenge, which is getting money to get electrical components,
01:33
and that's a major challenge for me.
