00:00But of course, one of the great topics for modern Australia is our future, the planet's
00:16future, the nature's future, and we've had an extraordinary finance, insurance, superannuation,
00:22nature, industries, for the work that you've led with the sustainable markets.
00:28It's my enthusiasm in this room, it's my unenviable task to give you a very, very brief
00:32snapshot of what we discussed with our visitors from Arnhem Land on the indigenous fire matters,
00:40because that is an important matter for you to hear about, and it was generally agreed
00:43by every person in this room, and that the SMI offers that, but also for Australian leaders
00:48to work together faster is one of the brackets for all Australians, and that we need to make
00:53sure that real zero is pushed forward, not just net zero, and that proper targets are
00:57set, that are achieved, and the need for a just transition to a new economy, but that
01:02we need to help direct that using the leaders in this room, as inspired by your work over
01:08very many years, including with the SMI.
01:11We do know it works in Australia.
01:12We had a wonderful example of South Australia as a shining example of where the transition
01:17is working.
01:18We need clarity of a target of zero by 2027, and significant private sector investment
01:23does work.
01:24That is a huge opportunity for Australia to learn from South Australia, but also a huge
01:27opportunity to put into clarity, consistency, and confidence.
01:31We need consistency on finance and nature, and putting nature at the centre of our work
01:36on climate control, and not seeing it as a separate matter.
01:41We then discussed the need for, and these are the matters that companies such as Cornishview,
01:46HSBC, and many other companies around this country, around this table, are investing
01:51in.
01:52We know it's possible.
01:53One of the most important things we've heard about...
