00:00Baggages are being left behind at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3
00:06due to its malfunctioning 20-year-old baggage handling system.
00:09Cebu Pacific says, as of 1.15pm on October 22, 821 checked-in bags had been left behind
00:15at the terminal while owners had already reached their destinations.
00:19New NIA Infrastructure Corporation or NNIC notes, NIA 3's baggage handling system encountered a
00:25affecting the processing of passengers' checked-in baggage since Friday, October 18.
00:30Cebu Pacific adds, passengers on domestic flights can either have their bags delivered
00:34to their destination or have their bags picked up at the airport.
00:38Meanwhile, passengers with international destinations have similar options
00:41on top of delivery services for those with onward destinations.
00:45San Miguel-led NNIC says it has been working in phases to modernize the airport's facilities
00:49and critical systems since it took over NIA management and operations last September 14.
