How do we keep kids safe online?

We ask the people of Cardiff about how best to keep young people safe online.

00:00Obviously my generation first to really grow up with social media and I think far too overexposed.

00:06It was, yeah, they really need to start clamping down. They should have done that a while ago to be fair.

00:11I don't think it's good for people. The amount we consume, standards that are set,

00:17yeah, really I hope they do clamp down properly.

00:21Something's got to be done, yeah, got to be legislated more, yeah.

00:25I think there are some very bad mental health effects on young people as a result of

00:32too much engagement with social media platforms.

00:36Facebook can really be very hurtful. Children could be vile to each other and they can do that

00:42in the playground but they can, there's also another means of them doing it to each other now.

00:47I think it should be company's responsibility but also your responsibility but we've got to

00:52remember now even though we have, you know, sort of evolutioned in technology, you don't be glued to it.
