Scott Parker pleased with performance and three points

Scott Parker felt his side played well in the victory over Sheffield Wednesday which saw his side finish the day on top of the Championship table.

00:00I thought we were really pleased overall, really, to be fair.

00:02I thought we started the game very, very well.

00:04Look, I felt like we always had a real control,

00:08of course, in a game of 90 minutes and coming to a place

00:11like this, a difficult place to go.

00:12Not lost many in that sense.

00:14And in certain moments we had to stand up,

00:16and in other moments,

00:17I thought we showed our quality,

00:19really. So, really pleased overall.

00:21Firstly, with the three points and our general play today.

00:24Again, another clean sheet,

00:26which is massive for us in terms of that.

00:29And then I thought today, going forward,

00:30I thought we looked a real threat in our moments,

00:32really, and probably had some big opportunities there

00:35to really put the game away.

00:37Obviously, we've been working and the players have been

00:40working really hard on that.

00:42A lot of things we need to check off in such a small

00:46space of time when you want to try and develop a team

00:47and get them to the levels you need to get to.

00:51But yeah, overall, very, very pleased with the way we

00:53went about it today.

00:54Like I said, I thought we looked a real threat,

00:56worked our moments,

00:57positionally was very, very good in the final third,

00:59which gives us the opportunity to create chances.

01:02So, yeah, and executed well.

01:04Yeah, I was pleased for Jadon, really.

01:05I'm really pleased for him.

01:07Obviously, I know Jadon, worked with Jadon for my year

01:11when I was at Bournemouth.

01:12Incredible professional, first and foremost,

01:14and got huge quality, really.

01:15So, really pleased for him to get his first goal for the team.

01:23They had their moments,

01:24which obviously brings a little bit of pressure on,

01:27and we certainly had some moments as well, really.

01:29And then the second half,

01:31we started slowly the second half,

01:33but then we grew into the second half,

01:34got the goal,

01:36and then had real control about us,

01:37which was good.

01:39Yeah, the goal probably sums up Brownie.

01:41You know, his real box habits are very, very good,

01:43always arriving in them areas to

01:46to nip goals, really.

01:47And I think that's evident in terms of his tally,

01:49what he's got back for so far this season, really.

01:51So, again, pleased that he gets on the score sheet

01:54again.

01:55Hopefully that can continue.
