00:15A hotel employee tells the operator that there's a guest intoxicated by drugs and alcohol,

00:20they say he's breaking the whole room, and that they're afraid he might do something

00:24that will put his life at risk.

00:27It was later that evening that police say Payne fell from the third floor balcony of

00:30his hotel room.

00:32An Argentine prosecutor's office revealed his autopsy a day later, on Thursday.

00:37It said he died due to multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding caused by a

00:43fall.

00:44Police said Payne's hotel room was in total disorder, with various broken objects and

00:49medications scattered.

00:51Meanwhile, members of the boy band released a statement saying they were completely devastated

00:56by the news of Liam's passing.

00:58One Direction was one of the world's biggest selling boy bands.

01:02They got their start on Britain's X Factor in 2010, and broke up in 2016 to pursue solo

01:08careers.

01:10While details surrounding his death remained unclear, Payne had spoken publicly about his

01:15struggles with mental health and using alcohol to cope with the pressures of fame.

01:19The 31-year-old leaves behind his son Bear, who he had with British TV personality Cheryl.
