00:00On Tuesday, China announced its first ever medium and long-term plans for space science development.

00:07A variety of key research areas have been listed and include exploring the origin and evolution of the universe,

00:14gravitational waves, the sun, the earth, the heliosphere for a panoramic view of sun-earth,

00:21the habitability of celestial bodies in the solar system and beyond, and search for extraterrestrial life.

00:28The loss of matter movement and life activities in space and more.

00:38The plan proposes a roadmap for China's space science development up until 2050.

00:44Between 2028 and 2035, operations on China's space station will continue

00:50and will implement missions such as a manned lunar exploration mission.

00:54Around 15 satellite missions will also be conducted.

00:58Between 2036 and 2050, we plan to conduct some 3D space science missions

01:04and become a global leader in certain areas.

01:11China's manned space program has revealed that Chinese Taikonauts will travel to the moon by 2030.

01:17These lunar expeditions are expected to involve cutting-edge science experiments.

01:25For the first landing of Chinese Taikonauts on the moon,

01:28our goal is to fully utilize the experience on the lunar surface.

01:32We will conduct significant space science experiments,

01:36using both pre-landing flight tests and the manned lunar mission itself.

01:40So far, we've outlined scientific objectives in nine key areas across three fields,

01:46science of the moon, lunar-based research and resource exploration and utilization.

01:52Attending officials and scientists also reaffirmed China's commitment

01:56to international cooperation in space science development,

02:00collaboration that includes establishing joint scientific research teams,

02:04sharing of relevant data, coordinating missions and more.
