00:00Preparing for an action sequence on SEAL Team, you first and foremost have to get it right with how they do it.
00:06The authenticity of our show dictates that.
00:21The action in our show, it's as real as it gets.
00:25And the style that we shoot it, the chaos of that camera movement.
00:29The military experience in these special ops groups are part of the show. They're the fabric of the show.
00:34The stunt coordinators are special operators, or former special operators.
00:37You see them blocking the scenes like this is how they would do it. Our show is different because of that.
00:41Matt Taylor is just an awesome guy who has got a history from his family and understands how to do it the right way.
00:47I think we all have our own vision of when we read something and we try to interpret that to make it real.
00:55And sometimes your environment changes that.
00:57I've discovered that it's really about coming in with an open mind and like being ready for anything.
01:03That's sort of the mentality you've got to kind of have because what's on the script inevitably changes on the day
01:09based off of how the stunt is actually going to play out physically in space.
01:13What makes it more difficult is it's always from the SEAL's perspective.
01:16Really, if you watch the episodes again, just knowing that it's only through our perspective, all the tactical movements.
01:20We don't go to the enemy side and see what they're seeing of us coming over there.
01:24You feel like you're in the car with us. You feel like you're at the end of that barrel.
01:27It makes it very challenging if you're doing helicopter work.
01:30We've done a lot of work in helicopters. I don't like heights.
01:33And oftentimes it's like, okay, Neil, so you're going to hang outside the helicopter, it's going to bank hard left.
01:38I'm like, oh, I'm going to hang outside the helicopter on the ground.
01:40It's like, no, no, no, no, you'll be up in the air. It'll be fine. You'll love it. It's great.
01:43And I'm like, oh, okay.
01:50And that's a cut, guys.
01:51That's a cut, guys.
01:52Everything is highly choreographed. Just beat by beat by beat by beat.
01:56We'll just rehearse it like you would a dance.
01:59It is practice, practice, practice. It's over and over again. We run it, we drill it.
02:03The stunt doubles. In the beginning, they never really got to do too much work because we try to do about 99% of our own stunts.
02:08Everything that we can do within reason.
02:10They have to actually tell me that I can't do the stunts. I want to do them all.
02:14I think it's some of the best television that I've ever done.
02:16I know it's some of the best television that we've done on SEAL Team.
02:19It's action-packed.
02:21It's sort of everything that we've done over the years packed into a few episodes in spectacular fashion.
02:27And I don't think people will be ready.
02:31RPG down!
02:38Not a Zorio!
02:39Not a Zorio!
02:48Vector, this is 3. HVT vehicle taking the lead.
02:55Radiator's toast. I can't keep pace.
02:59On us to take them down.
03:03Man a roof!
03:10All Bravo elements.
03:12Airfield is two clicks away.
03:15I can't get a shot, you?
03:17Negative!
03:20Take out the engine block!
03:30Move, move, move!
03:39Move, move, move!
03:53Colonel Zorio!
03:54I can finally make you a point.
