The Folk Preservation Society launched in Teignmouth on October 13. But what exactly is the Folk Preservation Society?

00:00We are all folk, seeking the preservation of our ways from root to seed.

00:08We are connected through society, and wherever you are from, wherever you are going, you will be welcome here.

00:15Our home is a physical space in Tynmouth, Devon, which winds its way back to the deepest point of Dartmoor, the Tynhead.

00:24Over time, we will travel to where we are invited, and will embrace modern ways to ensure that our reach is far and wide.

00:32We are a society of common folk, coming together to carry forward the past into our modern world.

00:39Our home is your home, where our guests will engage with workshops, talks, film screenings, live performances and much, much more.

00:48Alongside all this will be our gallery and shop, offering a range of records, books, oddities and art.

00:56Membership of our society is open to everyone, with plenty of opportunities for maker folk to showcase their work.
