Mum makes £5k reselling second hand car boot sale finds

A mum has made £5,000 reselling car boot sale clothes - including hunting out a designer Mulberry bag worth £360 for 30p.
Emily Zervakis, 38, started her side hustle after clearing out clothes from her home and making £350 in profit selling them online.
After seeing how easy it was to make some cash from reselling, she decided to reinvest the £350 buying clothing from car boot sales and charity shops.
Emily has found items such as a Mulberry bag for 30p and is selling it on for £360, and a Jellycat plush toy for £1.50 which she resold for £75.
Over the last 10 months she has spend £2,500 and made £5,000 - which she has reinvested back into her side hustle.

What brands that make the best profit? I tend to buy things I like.
00:03
I'm Emily and I buy secondhand items to resell for a profit.
00:07
Give me a follow if you want tips and tricks.
00:09
When you start off reselling, I actually think it's probably a good idea to start off with things that you like
00:14
and new things that you sort of know will sell, other people will want.
00:17
So I actually went to Bootsales and I picked up just anything that was good quality.
00:23
If it was 50p or under, I just bought them and tried them.
00:26
Brands that are always out there to be found cheaply, I would definitely say M&S and Next sell really well.
00:33
Roman sells well as well, if you ever see Roman.
00:36
Also, look out for labels that look expensive, you can sort of tell if something looks expensive.
00:41
That is another thing I always do.
00:43
And then check on eBay, sold for prices, like the brand, to see if they sell well.
00:49
And honestly, you just sort of learn as you go, I've just been learning and picking it up.
00:53
I find Fat Face sell really well.
00:55
Vintage Next, especially Y2K stuff, so anything that looks very year 2000s,
01:00
sort of think Paris Hilton, sort of that sort of stuff, sell really well.
01:06
And for good money, especially if it's vintage, like I've sold some Next, vintage Next cargoes for £18
01:13
because they were Y2K style.
01:15
I find items that are quirky and a little bit different, a bit like the mountain t-shirts that I sell,
01:20
I find there's a market for them, and definitely stuff like that.
01:24
But on your journey, you will figure out what things you like to sell and what you don't like to sell
01:29
and what will work for you, because I do think everyone has sort of different tastes
01:33
and different ideas of what will work for them.
01:37
If you watch my videos where I sell items, you can see what I sell and how much for.
01:42
That is another good way to sort of get a little insight on what you can get for items.
01:46
You're ready to see my thrifted haul from the Jumble Slug I got on Saturday.
01:50
I got all these and all the shoes and bags I showed yesterday.
01:54
Check out my other videos if you want to see them.
01:56
All that cost me £25, which is mad, and I'm going to show you the clothes today.
02:00
You ready? Do this as quickly as possible.
02:02
So we got these Pull & Bear trousers.
02:08
This is some sort of vintage dress. I'm not sure exactly, but I thought the buttons look really cool.
02:16
I got this vintage Wallace dress with a little bead in.
02:23
As you can see, this pretty Zara top. I love stripes.
02:29
I got this, this next top, size 14.
02:35
If you're reselling, these are something that you should definitely be looking out for.
02:39
I purchased three of these on a store in a boot sale that was free for a pound,
02:43
and they are vintage, year 2K, as you can see.
02:47
Cargo trousers, look at that.
02:52
So they cost me less than a pound each, like mad.
02:56
They're Vintage Next, that's like a Vintage Next label.
02:59
And one of these went for £18 and one of them went for £16.
03:04
And there's another one that I've already sold.
03:06
I can't remember now, it was a couple of weeks ago, and that sold for about £14.
03:09
And these went quite quick. They probably sold within about three weeks.
03:12
So keep a look out for Vintage Next cargo pants.
