00:00Thank you, Mr Tan Sri Yedipertua.
00:05I ask that this question be answered together with the question on 17 October by YB Seputih and YB Jelutong.
00:14Then on 21 November, there was a question from YB Jelutong as well.
00:18And on 3 December, there was a question from YB Bukit Bintang because it touched on the same issue.
00:24Thank you, Mr Tan Sri Yedipertua.
00:26First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the use of the term,
00:32which describes a scene hole on the road to Masjid India.
00:36And the term Tanah Jelus or Tanah Mendap, which is often used, is incorrect.
00:40According to the Department of Languages and Literature, the term should be Lubang Benam.
00:45So I myself, Mr Tan Sri Yedipertua, apologize for being confused in using the term.
00:50As for the information of the respected members,
00:52touching on the current safety status and preventive measures to prevent the same incident from happening again,
00:59I would like to say that based on research carried out by the task force or task force led by Dato' Banda Kuala Lumpur itself,
01:09it was found that the road to Masjid India is currently safe for all types of activities.
01:14This is after taking into account the collective expertise of various agencies,
01:19including PDRM, Polis Diraja Malaysia, Jabatan Bomber dan Penyelamat Malaysia,
01:23Jabatan Kerja Raya, Jabatan Mineral dan Geosains Malaysia,
01:26as well as professional organizations such as the Institute Jurutera Malaysia IEM
01:31and also the Geotechnical Malaysia MGS organization.
01:35So several immediate actions have been taken.
01:39First, the integrity audit of utility assets carried out by utility companies in the Central Business District or CBD,
01:48including the road to Masjid India,
01:50and the approval and integrity test under the ground were carried out to identify any weaknesses in the old assets.
01:57Second, the use of technology such as ground penetrating radar, GPR and Macintosh probe
02:04were used to investigate the structure of the land.
02:07Geophysics equipment such as microgravity and ground settlement monitoring were also used
02:12to detect any movement of the land or holes under the land.
02:16For long-term actions, the BKL will carry out an in-depth land survey
02:21involving the use of deep boring techniques and practical tests to ensure a stable land structure.
02:27Geotechnical reports by Jurutera Malaysia IEM will be provided for areas that are known to be at risk
02:33and the BKL will also carry out public communication on social media
02:40to provide information and confidence to the public about the level of safety in the area of Masjid India Road.
02:47Next, related to the payment to the family members of the deceased G Bijaya Lakshmi
02:53for the information of the deceased on the basis of concern,
02:56the government through the BKL has donated as much as RM30,000
03:00to help the family members of the deceased in alleviating their burden due to the tragedy.
03:05The family also received RM10,000 from the private sector.
03:10All of this is a social responsibility to help the family members of the deceased
03:16who are traumatized due to the loss of a loved one.
03:19The government does not prevent the government from touching the land.
03:21If the family of the deceased does not meet the requirements,
03:25through an invitation letter to the relevant agency.
03:29I also ask the respected experts
03:32not to just see the amount of RM30,000 as the value of the deceased's life.
03:39Of course, the deceased's life is not valued.
03:42In the three incidents,
03:44the Malaysian government has also allocated all the members' power and assets to the incident area
03:50where we involve up to 13 government agencies.
03:53During the nine days of the search,
03:55a large number of documents have also been used for the purpose of cost and daily operations.
04:00Do not forget that the members also lost their lives in entering a narrow and dangerous space.
04:06In fact, the cost of reparation is also accounted for in a significant amount.
04:11All the costs and donations are proof that the Malaysian government does not easily question anyone's life,
04:18whether there are locals or tourists.
