00:00It is expected that there will be a stronger relationship between the Philippines and Canada.

00:04This was followed by the bilateral meeting between President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the PDR.

00:11In his post on social media, Prime Minister Trudeau confirmed that they agreed with President Marcos Jr.

00:18that the relationship between the two countries should be more serious.

00:20They also discussed the need to respect international law.

00:25They also discussed South China Sea, their upcoming trade mission in the Philippines,

00:31and the continued strengthening of ties in the sector of business and trade.

00:36President Marcos also thanked Canada for its support in upholding the rule of law,

00:42particularly in the Indo-Pacific region and the South China Sea.

00:46He also gave a deeper understanding of the two countries as a comprehensive partnership.
