03:42they believe that this is not a long-term solution to the problems of their community.

03:48One of the things that the DSWD is implementing that combats malnutrition and hunger

03:54is the Walang Gutong 2027 or the food stamp program.

03:57Through this, we will distribute Php 3,000 monthly food credits for our identified beneficiaries.

04:06Through the food credits that we distribute to them

04:10and the information that we distribute through the nutritional education sessions,

04:16our beneficiaries will be taught to prepare cheap, nutritious, and delicious food.

04:21In addition to that, we also have other programs

04:26like the Supplementary Feeding Program

04:29where children who are studying in child development centers

04:35and are 3 to 5 years old will be supplemented with their food.

04:41We're making progress.

04:43Last year, we started with the pilot implementation of the Walang Gutong

04:46wherein there were only 1,300 beneficiaries

04:50and we registered more than 150,000 households as of September 30, 2021.

04:56Right now, we're already considering the Walang Gutong Kitchen

05:02where we will be able to help more families and individuals

05:06who are on the streets and have nothing to eat.

05:08But now, we will be able to give them a chance to eat delicious, cheap, and nutritious food.

05:16Actually, the government has a lot of programs.

05:19I hope that we will continue to push and be consistent.

05:23If we want to be more targeted, we need to focus.

05:27The government has a program, but there are only a few implementations.

05:33For now, Joy seems to have enough food.

05:37She assures that the food that she will receive will be in good quality.

05:45But as a mother, there are times when her heart is broken

05:49when she sees that her children are not able to eat properly and sufficiently.

05:55I hope that they will be able to eat without getting fat.

05:58I said, let it be. If we have money, we will buy delicious food.

06:05A long-term and concrete solution to food security is needed

06:10to alleviate the problem of hunger.
